Building Report

Following the agreement of the December 2010 BRJC EGM to the formation of a maisonette within the Synagogue building and consequential changes to the sanctuary room, the work to do this was started at the beginning of January and has made good progress. It is expected that the maisonette will be ready for leasing in the middle of March.

 

EGM 19th December 2010

At the EGM, the 2 resolutions put to the meeting were passed. Thus it was resolved that:

  1. The Synagogue building be developed and work on the creation of a maisonette within the Synagogue building and of consequential work to the remainder of the building be started.

  2. Blackpool Reform Jewish Congregation become an incorporated charity

While the finance is in place for the main phase of the building development, there was also discussion on fund raising and there were offers made at the meeting for the donation of at least a dozen of the new chairs being bought to replace the pews.

Chairs may be donated at £30 per chair. If you wish to donate one or more chair, please let me have a cheque payable to the Blackpool Reform Congregation. Please send it to the Synagogue.
